+ i made it home before the total craziness of weather fully descended upon chicago
+ i brought home my bozo-puter from work, which means i can work from home tomorrow if we get the 8-12 inches of snow that they're predicting
+ our badminton team won again last night, but more than that - i had fun. our "doubles" team has four people on it now (scheduling matches... people joining late... only two people play from our team at a time... ), but it's good because they seem like a fun group of guys.
+ we hit the birdies around even after our match was over
+ my knee feels ok while doing all of this. i still wear the knee brace for help, but i don't worry about it. i've done enough moving around so far to know that this kind of activity is ok for it.
+ scheduled group-meeting thingy at the center on halsted to talk with other gay doodz and listen to them and ... *group hug*
- my clients are being slow at work. i'm sure they get busy and stuff . . . i'm just trying to keep things on track
- the center on halsted thing meets on monday nights, same night as badminton. some nights badminton will be late (match starting at 8:45pm), so i can make both. i really like badminton, but the other thing will be good for me, too.

Date: 2008-02-07 10:57 pm (UTC)about your knee: have you had any reiki done on it? With my carpal tunnel symptoms in my hands, I go up for prayer every week or so at church, and just consider it part of the therapy my hands need, along with proper stretching and vitamins and regular yoga. it seems to me that reiki might be a helpful part of your regimen for your knee.
just a thought. glad you are surviving the snow!

Date: 2008-02-08 03:28 pm (UTC)I've only seen it once, but it had lasting healing effect.
I wouldn't say I'm a proponent of "any port in a storm" - but certainly "it doesn't hurt to try"!
