(no subject)

i don't know if it's making news other than in chicago, but the city of chicago is bidding to host the summer olympics in 2016. the other u.s. city in the bidding process is los angeles. while i think it'd be great to host the olympics in chicago, i have to wonder about the biking events. chicago is as flat as a pancake. where would we host the biking events? (don't say sherman park.) is there a hilly suburb around here anywhere? . . . i don't know why i'm even asking. i don't think there are any real hills around here.
